Which services run on the day after Thanksgiving?
UPS does not split Black Friday by service. The schedule says pickup and delivery are available, and the full year chart marks the day open for all services. That means Ground, Air and international Air deliveries all operate as they would on any other Friday.
UPS Express Critical, which Marken provides, is a separate time critical service. UPS says it is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including closure dates such as Thanksgiving.
What about a pickup you scheduled?
Regular pickups run on Black Friday because UPS lists pickup as available. If your pickup was set for Thursday, expect it to move, since UPS has no pickup that day. Confirm any special pickup with the driver or the UPS account contact.
How does Thanksgiving shift my delivery date?

There are limits. UPS says restrictions apply to shipper imposed limits, high value items, imports and certain package contents. Shippers who want to stop a parcel use Delivery Intercept instead, and UPS charges that fee only if the intercept is completed.
Why this matters on a sale weekend

UPS makes up to 3 delivery attempts. After that, a package waiting at an Access Point stays for 7 calendar days. UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes, so a sale order sent to one will be stopped.
